Our Favourite Rooftop Bars

As you gaze from your seat, sitting amongst the clouds (ok, well you’re pretty close) lookout to see the sparkling street lights below and feel the breeze flowing through your hair and you’ll surely be amazed at why you hadn’t thought of going to a rooftop bar before! In this post, we share some of our favourite Brisbane rooftop bars to help you plan some great celebrations this holiday season.

Sazerac Rooftop Bar

This one is at the top of our list and for good reason too, it’s Brisbane’s highest bar occupying the 30th floor of the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel at 99 Mary St. If it’s sweeping views you’re after - this should be the first place you think of. In this swanky rooftop bar, you can enjoy a cold beer or sip on a cocktail, including the New Orleans-originated combination of cognac, absinthe, Peychaud's Bitters and sugar.

Elixir Rooftop Bar

Escape the hustle and bustle of down below at this rooftop bar! Set high above Fortitude Valley’s entertainment precinct, as soon as you enter you are transported to a subtropical oasis where plenty of greenery, beachy picnic day beds and a wide assortment of gastronomical delights await. The bar serves up an original mix of cocktails and is a classy place to stop by for a few drinks and grazing the bar menu.

Limes Rooftop Bar

When people say take the plunge and try out this place - they’re serious! This rooftop bar atop of the boutique Limes Hotel has two plunge pools that you can dive into for its rooftop cinema evenings or a quick dip after a big party night out! Claiming the name as Brisbane’s first rooftop bar, the place is constantly re-inventing itself, having just undergone a major renovation this past year. Pick this place to enjoy not just a rooftop bar, but also for something different, we mentioned the rooftop cinema right? Plus as it’s atop a hotel, guests that like to party ‘hard’ can crash overnight in one of their luxurious rooms!

The Stock Exchange Rooftop Bar

Feeling a bit nostalgic? This bar has been around since the late 1800s, but that doesn’t mean it’s outdated, it’s had a major makeover in the past couple of years and boasts a laid-back atmosphere thanks to fairy lights (can you feel the Christmas spirit?), hanging plants and new tables and chairs.

Eleven rooftop bar

Looking for the perfect bar to satisfy your belly too? Then Eleven is a must to checkout. Perched upon the 11th floor of 757 Ann St, take in the sweeping views of Brisbane City. The venue also serves European-style share plates and light breakfasts.
